According to the newspaper “A Bola”, the Saudi Federation was forced to pay 30 million euros in one payment to Mancini for this dismissal.
The Italian coach’s contract was still extended until the end of the 2026 World Cup, and it seems that the two parties have not reached a financial settlement and the Italian insisted on obtaining the rest of his dues in full.
Despite the huge financial loss to the Saudi Federation, officials will work to contract another great coach with a huge salary to ensure the team returns to its usual level.
At the moment, Herve Renard is leading the list of candidates to coach Saudi Arabia, while the name of former Brazilian national team coach Tite has also been put forward, as well as Ramon Diaz and national coach Saleh Al-Mohammadi.
