Al-Ahly’s doctor, Ahmed Gaballah, confirmed the absence of one of the stars of the Red Castle from the Al-Ain match scheduled for next Tuesday in the Intercontinental Cup.
This player is the center back Youssef Ayman, after the Qatari national suffered a head injury during the Zamalek match in the Egyptian Super Cup last Thursday.
According to Al-Ahly’s doctor, Youssef Ayman suffered a mild concussion during and after the Zamalek match, and therefore it was decided to deal with him according to FIFA’s strict concussion protocol.
Accordingly, Youssef Ayman is out of coach Marcel Koller’s calculations for the Al-Ain match that will be held at Cairo International Stadium and is nicknamed the “Afro-Asian Cup”.
The absence of the player of Egyptian origin may be a real crisis for Al-Ahly, considering that Rami Rabia’s participation in the match is in doubt due to his injury as well, but a muscle injury against Zamalek.
In this way, Al-Ahly only has one player in the heart of the defense, which is Yasser Ibrahim, especially since Ashraf Dari has not fully recovered yet, and Khaled Abdel Fattah is basically a right back and has just returned from injury.
It is worth noting that Youssef Ayman participated as a substitute for Rami Rabia in the Zamalek match and missed a penalty kick, and this was his first participation in the Al-Ahly jersey.
