The lackluster performance of French star Kylian Mbappe in the El Clasico match against Barcelona has caused great concern within Real Madrid.
Mbappe failed to score against the traditional rival and missed many scoring opportunities and was subjected to a wave of mockery on social media, especially after he was caught offside 8 times.
According to Spanish press reports, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is very concerned about Mbappe’s level over Vinicius Junior after the recent events related to the Golden Ball.
This concern is not a result of a moment, but in fact since the beginning of the season and how Mbappe appeared in a fluctuating manner and has not yet succeeded in providing even a small part of what he provided with Paris Saint-Germain in the past.
Perez feels very disappointed after waiting a long time to sign Mbappe and giving him astronomical sums of money for this step, and therefore he is more worried about him than Vinicius, who he believes will emerge from the crisis stronger than before.
Perez hopes that Mbappe will succeed in responding to all criticism in the remaining period of this season, especially since the player previously announced that he aims to achieve the Golden Ball and become one of the legends of Real Madrid.
It remains to be noted that Mbappe has scored only 8 goals so far, 4 of which were penalties, in 14 matches he played with Real Madrid in all competitions this season.
