Mohamed Salah has added more mystery to his future with Liverpool after a message he wrote to the Reds fans via his social media accounts.
Salah on Saturday in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Brighton became the eighth highest scorer in the history of the English Premier League with 164 goals, breaking the partnership with Reds legend Robbie Fowler.
Thanks to Salah’s goal, Arne Slot’s team won 3 points, returning to the top of the Premier League after Manchester City stumbled with a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth.
The rumors about the future of the Egyptian international, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the end of this season, and so far there are no negotiations to renew between the two parties, do not stop.
Salah wrote: “The top of the table is the right place for this club and nothing less.”
He added: “All teams win matches, but there is only one champion in the end, and that is what we want.”
Salah concluded with the controversial phrase about his future, hinting at a departure from Liverpool: “Thank you for your support last night, and whatever happens I will never forget the feeling of scoring goals at Anfield.”
The 32-year-old is reportedly attracting a lot of interest from Saudi clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona also said to be interested in signing him.
