The Daily Mail revealed what Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola said to Brighton star Jean-Paul van Hecke after the end of the two teams’ match in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Guardiola was seen after the match arguing with Van Hecke and reprimanding him with words that were not clear, and the Daily Mail sought the help of a lip expert to reveal what happened between the two.
According to the newspaper, the Spanish coach said to Van Hecke, “You asked to cry, are you crying now? Are you proud of that?”.
Van Hecke responded to Guardiola by saying, “Of course,” and instead of things exploding further between the two parties, the coach calmed the situation with nice words.
Guardiola concluded his conversation with Van Hecke by saying, “You played a good match, I want to congratulate you on that, congratulations to you and enjoy your night.”
It is not expected that Guardiola or the player will be investigated or held accountable by the Premier League, considering that what happened was just a quarrel and ended without any significant side effects.
