The scandals of the English referee David Coote continue to appear, and this time it is related to a drug party he wanted to hold before and during the last Manchester City and Tottenham match in the Carabao Cup.
A video of Coote circulated while he was cursing coach Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, and because of it he was suspended by the English Football Association and subject to investigation.
Coote’s crisis was completed after another video was seen in which he was seen taking drugs during the Euro, and he was suspended by the European Football Association.
The latest scandal for the English referee was published by the newspaper “The Sun”, which claimed that the referee sent messages to organize a drug party before the Tottenham and Manchester City match, as well as during the break between the two halves.
Coote booked a room in a hotel just 37 minutes before the start of the match, in which he was the fourth referee, then sent a message to one of his friends between the two halves of the match saying to him “Are you ready?”.
Logically, it is expected that Coote will be banned for life from refereeing in light of these successive scandals, even though he admitted to doing them and tried to defend himself as much as possible.
It is worth noting that the last match that Coote refereed was Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League last week, and he caused a great deal of controversy in some refereeing decisions that went against the Reds.
