Ronaldo: This is my retirement date.. and the 1000th goal doesn’t matter to me!

Legend Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed that he doesn’t care much about achieving 1000 goals in his career, indicating that he is currently just enjoying football.

The Al-Nassr star’s statements came after scoring two goals with the Portuguese national team during the 5-1 victory over the Polish national team on Friday in the European Nations League.

Ronaldo was asked after the match about his retirement date, to which he replied, “I just want to enjoy football. If retirement happens in a year or two, I really don’t know now.”

He also added, “As long as I feel motivated, I will continue to work. The day I don’t feel motivated, I will announce my retirement, but now I just want to enjoy.”

Ronaldo’s statements come in conjunction with the Al-Nassr management giving him a new offer to renew until the summer of 2026, with which he can continue on the pitches until the next World Cup.

Ronaldo is practically close to scoring his 1000th career goal, and he said, “I’m not thinking about it.”

He added, “Of course you always want to write history, but I’m not focusing on this achievement now.”

It is worth noting that Ronaldo’s number of goals, whether with clubs or national teams, over a career spanning more than 20 years is 926 goals.
