Real Madrid star Fede Valverde admitted that losing to Barcelona in El Clasico 4-0 “hurts” him and all the stars of the royal club greatly.
The Uruguayan star said in press statements, “The defeat was very painful, it was a feeling of helplessness because we lost the three points in a match like that.”
He also added, “The truth is that Barcelona played a very good match, they were better and deserved to win, we have to admit that we were not good enough.”
He continued, “The first half was very balanced, but in the second half they had a clear advantage, and when they had opportunities they scored, we did not do that.”
He concluded, “Barcelona dominated the match in the second half, what happened was like madness for us, their superiority was not only tactical, that’s the truth.”
Fortunately for Real Madrid, Barcelona then stumbled with a loss to Real Sociedad, so the difference between the Catalans and the capital club returned to just 3 points in favor of Hansi Flick’s squad in the event that the Royal Club wins its postponed match against Valencia next January.
