Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has announced that Lamine Yamal will not be able to play against Celta Vigo on Saturday at Balaídos.
Yamaal was injured in Barça’s last match against Real Sociedad, which caused him to miss the Spanish national team during the last international break.
The estimated period of time for Yamal to be out of action was between 10 days and two weeks, but so far he has not fully recovered.
When asked about Yamal, Flick replied, “Lamine cannot play tomorrow, we will see when he can return. He is a very important player for us, but we have to adapt without him, as we also have other good players.”
As for who will replace Yamal in the Catalan club’s attack, the German coach replied, “We have players who have quality and can play in different positions.”
He continued, “Rafinha, Pau, Dani or Fermin could play, we have many options.”
In the same context, Flick confirmed that Gavi can participate as a starter against Celta Vigo, and he also revealed that defender Ronald Araujo will return to training after recovering from his injury, within a few days.
