Former Saudi football star Fahad Al-Harifi advised Al Hilal management to avoid signing Mohamed Salah, considering that the Liverpool star does not fit the “Blue Wave” style of play.
Salah sparked a great controversy about his future after he said that he is closer to leaving Liverpool, and in light of the great interest of Al Hilal in particular to include him instead of Neymar before the 2025 Club World Cup.
Al-Harifi wrote via his account on the X platform, “Al Hilal is not a team of rebounds and transformations, and it has Salem Al-Dawsari and Malcolm, and they have speed and skills.”
He continued, “I do not advise you to sign Mohamed Salah, what do you need him for?”
He concluded, “Take a lesson and watch him with the Egyptian national team.”
Al-Harifi is one of the legends of Saudi football, as he was part of the legendary team that participated in the 1994 World Cup, and he also achieved many achievements with Al-Nasr Club.
Referring to Salah’s participation with Egypt, the 32-year-old played 101 matches during which he scored 58 goals, and he is the second highest scorer in the history of the Pharaohs after Hossam Hassan.
This season, Salah played 18 matches with Liverpool during which he scored 12 goals and made 10 others in all competitions.
