Salah: This is my last game for Liverpool against City!

Mohamed Salah has once again sparked controversy over his future with Liverpool, after he said that he expects the Manchester City match to be his last with the Reds.

Salah scored a goal and made another in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League, bringing his total number of goalscoring contributions this season to 24.

Salah was asked after the match about renewing his contract with the Reds, to which he replied: “Honestly, it’s on my mind, until now I think it’s my last game with Liverpool against City (at Anfield) so I wanted to enjoy it.”

He added: “The atmosphere at Anfield was great, so I’m enjoying every moment here, I just hope we can win the Premier League and then we’ll see what happens.”

He continued: “The fans were behind us from the first moment, I’m happy that we managed to achieve victory, we knew very well that City would do everything they could to win today.”

“The atmosphere at Anfield is very special, I enjoy every minute here, I feel like I’m at home, it’s always a special feeling to score at Anfield and win games here,” he concluded.

This is the third time this season that Salah has made a provocative statement about his future.

The first time was after the Manchester United match at the beginning of the season, when he said that he expected this season to be his last because there was no offer from Liverpool yet to renew his contract.

Salah said the same thing after the Southampton match last week, indicating that he is closer to leaving than staying with the Reds.

Rumours about the future of the Egyptian star, who has been linked with a move to several clubs inside and outside Europe, do not stop, and at the same time, Liverpool’s negotiations with him regarding renewal are still ongoing.
