Real Madrid officials are completely satisfied with the performances of young defender Raul Asensio, so there is a plan now to renew his contract with the royal club.
Asensio was promoted to the first team this season, and participated for the first time after Eder Militao suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the match against Osasuna, and since then he has maintained his place in the starting lineup within Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
According to the newspaper “Marca”, the Real Madrid management wants to ensure Asensio’s continuation and reward him for the performances he has shown so far over the past month.
The Merengue management is already preparing a new contract for the 21-year-old player that will include a significant increase in salary and confirm that he is an essential part of the club’s future plans.
Asensio’s current contract extends until the summer of 2026, and the new contract is supposed to keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until at least the summer of 2029, with a large release clause as usual.
For his part, Asensio is very happy to participate with the first team of Real Madrid and the development he is experiencing, and he only plans to continue with the capital giant.
Because of Asensio and the levels he is presenting, it is unlikely that the Real Madrid management will sign a central defender in the winter, and perhaps they will only focus on signing a right-back, according to recent press reports.
