How did Emam Ashour’s crisis end and he returned to Al-Ahly training?

After days of controversy, the crisis between Emam Ashour and Al-Ahly captain Mohamed El-Shennawy ended, and the player returned to training with Marcel Koller’s squad.

Imam had expressed his anger at not participating in the Stade d’Abidjan match last week, and quarreled with Mohamed El-Shennawy, coach Koller, and sports director Mohamed Ramadan.

Al-Ahly’s management fined Emam Ashour one million pounds for what happened, and he was also excluded from the last Al-Ahly Bank match, which ended in a goalless draw.

The former Zamalek player was seen in Al-Ahly training on Monday evening for the first time since the outbreak of the crisis.

According to Egyptian media, Emam Ashour apologized to El-Shennawy for what he did, and the Red Devils goalkeeper accepted his colleague’s apology.

Ashour’s apology also included an apology to Koller and Ramadan for his angry behavior, and all parties accepted the player’s words to be granted permission to return to training with the first team again.

Al-Ahly is preparing for a difficult match against Orlando Pirates in South Africa in the Champions League, after which it will travel to Doha to play in the semi-finals of the Intercontinental Cup on December 14.
