The Telegraph reported that Kevin De Bruyne has so far refused to move to the Saudi League if he leaves Manchester City next summer.
The Belgian international previously opened the door to moving to the Roshen League in light of the large financial offer he is expected to receive, although his priority is to stay in Europe.
Recently, there have been reports of Inter Miami’s interest in signing De Bruyne, but this news is clearly inaccurate.
According to the latest report, the City Group management, which owns Manchester City, and other clubs, wants to keep De Bruyne, and if he leaves the English club, they want to transfer him to another club under their management.
Logically, the most likely destination for the 32-year-old will be New York City, especially since the player has said more than once that he wants to play in the United States before retiring.
It remains to be noted that the option of De Bruyne continuing with Manchester City for another year remains in place, although it is likely that he will leave given the number of his injuries and his advanced age.
