Reports: Salah reaches agreement with Liverpool on renewal

The Mirror newspaper revealed that Mohamed Salah is very close to reaching an agreement with Liverpool to renew his contract.

According to the report, the biggest obstacle that caused the negotiations to stumble previously was the duration of the contract, not the financial compensation.

Salah’s agent wanted his client to continue at Anfield for the next three years, while Liverpool’s management wanted to renew the player for one year due to his reaching 32 years of age.

In the end, it seems that the two parties have reached a common ground, which is to renew for two years, which was welcomed by Salah’s camp in particular.

As for the salary, it was not a problem, as Liverpool’s management did not intend to reduce it as the media claimed, and the Egyptian will continue to earn 400 thousand pounds per week.

At the end of the report, the Mirror confirmed that Salah’s contract renewal will happen very soon unless an unexpected emergency occurs.

It is worth noting that Salah has confirmed more than once his desire to continue with Liverpool, and indicated his dissatisfaction with the Reds’ management for their delay in negotiating with him so far.
