After the horrific accident.. Antonio may not play football again!

English media revealed that West Ham star Michail Antonio may be forced to retire from football due to the traffic accident he was involved in last week.

The Jamaican star, while driving his car, collided with a tree in the Theydon Boise area in Essex, and was then transferred to the hospital where he is still receiving treatment there until now.

According to West Ham coach, Julen Lopetegui, Antonio’s survival from this accident is considered a “miracle”.

The Spanish coach said in this regard, “We spoke to him before the Wolverhampton match and we will visit him soon. We are happy that he is recovering well and we hope that he will recover more in the coming months as a person and then as a player.”

Reports indicated that Antonio will need a full year to be able to walk without crutches due to the severe injuries he sustained to his foot.

It is no longer unlikely that the 34-year-old striker will be forced to retire from football, especially since the expected period of his absence until recovery is currently more than a year.

Antonio is one of the Premier League’s most prolific strikers of the last decade, and since joining West Ham in 2015 from Nottingham Forest he has scored 68 goals in 268 appearances.
