Al-Ahly continues to prepare for the 2025 Club World Cup, and it seems that the Egyptian club is on its way to concluding a new major deal.
Turkish journalist Ersal Serdal stated that Al-Ahly’s management agreed with Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” to return to the ranks of the Red Castle.
According to the source, Trezeguet will sign a contract with Al-Ahly for 3 seasons, and will receive 1.3 million euros annually!
This means that Trezeguet’s annual salary will be about 70 million pounds, which is one of the highest salaries, if not the highest in the history of Egyptian football.
After agreeing with Trezeguet, Al-Ahly needs to agree with his club Trabzonspor on the transfer value.
The 30-year-old’s contract extends until the summer of 2026 with the Turkish club, which does not mind selling him and making some money from him for free next summer instead of leaving for free the following year.
It is noteworthy that the report revealed that Trezeguet is not happy with his current loan with Al Rayyan, and therefore, as soon as it ends at the end of this season, he wants to return to Al Ahly, and therefore he reduced his salary from 1.5 million euros to 1.3 million euros.
Trezeguet is one of Al Ahly’s sons, and after his brilliance, he was sold to Anderlecht for 2.2 million euros in 2016. The player spent a long journey in European stadiums with Mouskorn, Kasimpasa, Aston Villa, Basaksehir, and Trabzonspor, before returning to the Arab country last summer through Al Rayyan.
