La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Carlo Ancelotti may coach a new team next season, motivated by the idea of ”inheritance”.
The Italian coach’s contract with Real Madrid ends in the summer of 2026, but all indications confirm that he will leave the Merengue at the end of the current season and will leave his position to current Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso.
Ancelotti previously announced that Real Madrid will be the last club he will coach in his career, but the matter may change according to what was published by “La Gazzetta dello Sport”.
The report indicates that Ancelotti is receiving great interest from the Roma administration, which wants him to start a new project in the capital club next season, succeeding Claudio Ranieri.
The Italian club wants to tempt Ancelotti with the idea of starting the project with them, then leaving the team’s training within a year or two to his son Davide.
Davide is already looking for the next step in his career and becoming a coach after living in recent years under his father’s wing as an assistant at Napoli, Everton and finally with the Merengue.
That’s why Carlo might consider accepting the Roma job, as he dreams of seeing his son have a distinguished career in coaching and would not mind continuing to pave the way for him in the near future.
