Kahraba to leave Al Ahly in the coming days… and his next destination revealed

Egyptian media have confirmed that Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba” is set to leave Al Ahly in the next few days.

The player has fallen out of favor with coach Marcel Koller and is facing significant pressure from the fans due to his noticeable decline in performance this season.

According to recent reports, the 30-year-old will leave Al Ahly on loan until the end of the season.

Kahraba has entered negotiations with two clubs: Iraq’s Al-Zawraa and Libya’s Al-Ittihad. He is currently weighing the two offers and is expected to make his final decision within the next few hours.

Al Ahly’s management has agreed to Kahraba’s departure on loan, though it remains unclear whether the loan will be dry (with no option to buy) or if it will include a purchase clause for his new club.

Criticism of Kahraba escalated after his missed penalty in the match against Pachuca, which nearly cost Al Ahly a place in the Club World Cup final for the first time in the Red Devils’ history.

The situation worsened when the player refused to greet the fans after the match against CR Belouizdad, before later apologizing and stating that he was under immense pressure. This now explains his openness to leaving temporarily.
