Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has made his decision on who will take penalties for Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Jude Bellingham missed the last penalty Real Madrid was awarded against Valencia last week, and before that, Kylian Mbappé missed two penalties against Liverpool and Athletic Bilbao.
According to “Cadena Cope,” Ancelotti has decided that the primary penalty taker will be Vinícius Júnior.
The Brazilian star has taken 4 penalties this season, successfully converting 3 and missing one against AC Milan in the Champions League.
For Ancelotti, Vinícius has shown greater quality and confidence in taking penalties, unlike Mbappé, who himself has decided to step away from penalty duties for a while.
It remains unknown who the second choice will be if Vinícius is not on the pitch, though Ancelotti usually leaves the decision to his players, meaning Mbappé and Bellingham will have to agree between themselves.
It is worth noting that throughout his career, Vinícius Júnior has taken 10 penalties, missing only one, a record that confirms his ability in this regard.
