The “Telegraph” newspaper has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is urging Al-Nassr’s management to sign a specific player during the ongoing winter transfer window.
The Portuguese international wants to reunite with Manchester United star Casemiro, with whom he previously played at both the Red Devils and Real Madrid.
Al-Nassr’s interest in signing Casemiro comes at a very opportune time for the Brazilian star, as his situation at Old Trafford has become increasingly complicated, especially after the arrival of manager Rúben Amorim.
Manchester United’s management, for its part, is open to the idea of Casemiro’s departure for a good financial return, especially since he is effectively out of Amorim’s plans.
Ronaldo is pressuring Al-Nassr to sign the 33-year-old, who is also open to moving to the Saudi Pro League and considers it the most likely destination if he leaves this month.
If Al-Nassr wants to sign Casemiro, they will need to sell one of their foreign players, and it is highly likely that the former Real Madrid star will replace Anderson Talisca, who is close to joining Fenerbahçe.
