Cristiano Ronaldo will remain a player at Al-Nassr for a year, this is what the Saudi media confirmed in the past few hours.
The Saudi sports channels published and Al-Youm newspaper quoted a source within Al-Nasr as saying that Ronaldo had completed his agreement with Al-Nassr to renew until the summer of 2026.
Thus, it is confirmed that the 39-year-old will achieve his goal of continuing in the world of football until the 2026 World Cup, and most likely he will retire immediately after that.
Ronaldo has expressed his happiness with Al-Nassr on more than one occasion, and said in previous statements that he wants to retire with the Saudi club.
Achieving the first official title with the “Knight of Najd” remains Ronaldo’s first goal currently, especially since he failed to do so for two years at the “Al-Awal Park” stadium.
Meanwhile, this extra year will be a good opportunity for Ronaldo to achieve the personal record he dreams of now, which is scoring 1000 goals, knowing that he has scored 917 so far.
Some reports have said that Ronaldo is seeking to participate in the upcoming Club World Cup, and by renewing his contract with Al-Nassr, the only way will be to loan him to one of the participating clubs, whether Saudi or European.
