Liverpool reject £70m offer to sell their star!

While Darwin Nunez seems far from the calculations of coach Arne Slot, Liverpool’s management rejected a huge offer that reached them to sign him.

The “Anfield Wash” network claims that the Saudi League made an offer to buy Nunez for £70m in the past days, but it was rejected.

The rejection of this offer by CEO Michael Edwards was not in order to keep the Uruguayan player, but rather in the hope of making more money.

Edwards believes that Nunez can enter the Anfield coffers with £80m from selling him, and he is confident in his ability to outbid his player to obtain this amount or an amount very close to it.

The identity of the Saudi club that wants to sign Nunez has not been revealed, although the source claims that it is either Al-Hilal or Al-Nasr.

The source expects another round of negotiations between the two parties in the coming weeks to reach common ground, and Liverpool will most likely agree to the sale if they receive an offer worth £75 million.

It is worth noting that Nunez moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2022 from Benfica for £80 million, and since then he has played 122 matches with the Reds in all competitions, during which he scored 37 goals and made 21 others.
