Klopp: Salah is the greatest striker in Liverpool’s history

Jurgen Klopp appeared for the first time since leaving Liverpool, at a press conference to introduce him as the new CEO of Red Bull Sports Group.

During the conference, Klopp talked about many things, most notably when asked about Mohamed Salah and his opinion on renewing his contract with Liverpool.

The German coach replied, “Mohamed Salah is the greatest striker in Liverpool’s modern history, I hope he continues, he is a great person.”

He also added, “Salah is the best ambassador Egypt can have, he is a great athlete.”

When asked about another Egyptian star shining in European stadiums, Omar Marmoush, Klopp replied, “I don’t know where he will go, but he is a great player.”

Klopp also hoped that Manchester City would be convicted in financial fair play cases, and then they could win more than 3 Premier League titles.

The German concluded, “If that happens (Manchester City’s conviction), I will tell everyone to book a trip to Mallorca and I will buy a beer, I will hold a private party in my garden.”
