The head of the Saudi Entertainment Committee, Turki Al-Sheikh, sparked a great deal of controversy after a photo he posted on his accounts opened the door to many ideas about Mohamed Salah.
Turki posted a photo of Mohamed Salah in a Saudi Al Hilal shirt, and only put some emojis without comment.
Many considered the published photo to be an indirect announcement that Al Hilal had reached an agreement with Salah to join the “Blue Wave” for free next summer.
The 31-year-old’s contract with Liverpool ends at the end of the current season, and so far the agreement between him and the Reds’ management is far from being reached.
Some English media outlets had indicated in the past hours that Salah was closer to moving to the Saudi League, and then Turki Al-Sheikh’s post came to increase the controversy in this regard.
Salah was unable to score or assist during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham on Tuesday, in what may be his least successful match this season.
