Ancelotti responds decisively to news of his departure from Real Madrid

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has categorically denied reports that he has decided to leave the royal club at the end of the current season.

Onda Cero radio had confirmed that Ancelotti does not want to continue with Real Madrid after the end of the current season, and sees this as the right moment to leave the Santiago Bernabéu.

Ancelotti: I want to renew for 4 years with Real Madrid

During the press conference for the Salzburg match in the Champions League, Ancelotti responded by denying everything that was said and confirming his desire to stay for as long as possible.

The experienced coach said, “I have certainly not decided to leave Real Madrid as was said, I want to stay here for another four years.”

He also added, “I want to continue here like President Florentino Perez, it would be ideal to leave with him (at the end of his term) in 2029.”

He concluded in this regard, “I want to be clear, I will never decide when I will leave Real Madrid, it is not my decision.”

Ancelotti on winter signings

Ancelotti was asked if he was jealous of Manchester City, considering that the English club also started badly with injuries, and then made many signings, unlike Real Madrid.

Ancelotti replied to that by saying “Not at all, we have a complete team”.

He continued “If we take into account what happened last year, the absences raised the level of commitment, and we find inspiration. We are ready for this year”.

Ancelotti on qualifying in the Champions League

Regarding whether qualifying directly to the round of 16 in the Champions League seems impossible, Ancelotti commented “There are not many options, we only have to win the next two matches”.

He also continued “If we have to play the round of 32, we will do it 100%. Taking into account that the schedule will be more demanding, but we are used to it”.

It is noteworthy that Real Madrid occupies the 20th place in the Champions League with 9 points from three wins and 3 defeats in the first 6 rounds, while the direct qualification card from the eighth place gate is in the hands of Lille, who has 13 points.
