German football legend Paul Breitner has urged Real Madrid to sign a specific player, considering him to be a guarantee of great achievements for the royal club.
We are talking here about Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, whose contract with his German club still extends until the summer of 2027.
Breitner previously wore the Real Madrid shirt between 1975 and 1977, and it is known that he is a fan of the royal club despite his strong relationship with Bayern Munich.
In this context, Breitner spoke about the future of Real Madrid and said, “If Real Madrid signs Wirtz this summer, the team will achieve 5 Champions League titles over the next decade.”
He also added, “Wirtz is an exceptional player, and he is the missing piece in Real Madrid at the moment.”
It is no secret that Real Madrid is one of the clubs interested in signing Wirtz, whose value will not be less than 150 million euros.
The player has not yet made a decision to leave Leverkusen in the summer of 2025 or wait until after the 2026 World Cup, and in any case, Real Madrid are interested in him, as are Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
