Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised Omar Marmoush for his performance against Arsenal despite the 5-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium.
This was Marmoush’s second match for City after participating in the 3-1 win over Chelsea last week.
However, unlike the first match, Marmoush’s performance was somewhat less, but the philosopher strongly defended the Egyptian star and even praised him.
“I think Marmoush played well today,” Guardiola said after the match.
He added, “It’s not easy to adapt to matches like this of such a high caliber.”
He concluded, “He started against Chelsea, and today he participated against Arsenal, it’s not easy at all.”
Marmoush’s next challenge will be against Leyton Orient next Saturday in the FA Cup before he enters with City in a difficult series of matches starting with Real Madrid in the Champions League.
