Cristiano Ronaldo considered the idea of him working as a coach or sports director in a club after retiring from football to be very unlikely.
The 39-year-old is close to retiring from football, as his contract with Al-Nasr ends this season, and he is expected to stay until 2026, then his legendary journey on the beautiful fields of football will end.
In his interview with El Chiringuito, Ronaldo was asked about the next step he will take after retirement and whether it includes working in football.
The Don responded by saying, “Realistically, owning a club is a logical choice for me over working as a manager or coach.”
He continued, “I planned for a while and I knew that my career in football would end one day, so I worked on my projects and managed my various companies.”
Ronaldo’s fortune amounts to $500 million, so the idea of owning a club does not seem impossible or illogical as many may think.
