The most famous legend of Real Madrid and Brazilian football, Marcelo, has retired from football after a career spanning more than 20 years in the round witch.
Marcelo’s last experiences were with Fluminense, and the last shots there were his quarrel with the coach, which was followed by announcing the termination of the contract between him and the Brazilian club by mutual consent.
At the age of 36, Marcelo decided to end his career full of titles, which witnessed many individual and collective achievements, especially with Real Madrid.
Marcelo moved to the royal club in the summer of 2007, and remained the main left-back for the Merengue until he left in the summer of 2022.
Marcelo is one of the most decorated players in the history of football, having won 31 titles, 15 of which were with Real Madrid, the last of which was the Copa Libertadores with Fluminense two years ago.
The Brazilian is known for his close relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo, and the Don bid him farewell with a touching message on his social media accounts.
“What an amazing journey! We have lived so much together, years of achievements, victories and unforgettable moments,” Ronaldo wrote.
“More than just a teammate, you were a companion in my life. Thanks for everything, my friend. I wish you all the best in this new stage of life.”
