Will Guardiola leave City at the end of the current season?

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola responded to the rumors about his possible departure from the English club after the current disappointing season.

The Spanish coach is facing severe criticism in light of what is perhaps the worst season in his career, which has led to speculation that he may leave at the end of the season.

Guardiola responded to a question about his departure by saying, “I want to stay with Manchester City, this is my confirmed plan.”

He continued, “I am very convinced that this is the best option for all parties.”

Guardiola renewed his contract with City last November until the summer of 2026, with the possibility of renewing for another year, despite the great interest from several national teams to obtain his services.

The Spaniard is the most successful coach in City’s history, having led them to win the English Premier League 6 times, in addition to the first European title with the Champions League title.

If he leaves without titles, this will be the second time in Guardiola’s history that he has failed to win titles in one season, after his first season with City in 2016.
