Al-Hilal frustrates Al-Ahly with a decision before their match in CAF Champions League!

Sudanese media reported that the Al-Hilal club management has frustrated Al-Ahly’s hopes before their match in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League 2025.

Al-Hilal plays outside Sudan due to the civil war, and there were some speculations that the blue team would play its match at its home stadium against Al-Ahly in Cairo.

However, the vice president of Al-Hilal confirmed in media statements that it is “impossible” for this to happen, and that his club will play its match in another country.

It is most likely that Al-Hilal’s match will be played in Mauritania, considering that the Sudanese club played the group stage matches there, and participates in the local league there as well.

The first leg will be held on one of the days of April 1 or 2, 2025 at Cairo International Stadium, while the second leg will be played on April 8 or 9 at Al-Hilal’s stadium.

It is noteworthy that Al-Hilal topped its group, which included Mouloudia of Algiers, Young Africans and Mazembe, while Al-Ahly came in second in a group that included Orlando Pirates, Chabab Belouizdad and Stade d’Abidjan.
