Spanish press reports revealed that Real Madrid is setting its sights on contracting a new left-back in the upcoming summer transfer period.
The Royal Club has placed Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies as its priority to support the left flank, but the player ultimately preferred to renew his contract with the Bavarian club.
According to recent reports, the new name that Real Madrid’s management is focusing on is Milan star Theo Hernandez.
In principle, the Italian club does not intend to renew Hernandez’s contract yet, and Milan’s management wants to get rid of him next summer.
Theo’s contract with the Rossoneri expires in the summer of 2026, so Milan will inevitably sell him next summer to make a financial profit from him instead of leaving for free the following year.
Real Madrid appreciate what Theo offers and how he has shone in the Italian league, and they see him as a very potential reinforcement given that he will not cost the Merengue coffers much and will bring the expected quality.
Theo previously wore the Real Madrid shirt in 2017 and even moved to Milan in the summer of 2019 for 22.8 million euros.
The French international has stated on more than one occasion that he would always welcome a return to the Merengue, but he is waiting for the right moment to do so.
