A noticeable change in the tone of Salah and Van Dijk about leaving Liverpool

There seems to be a noticeable development in the negotiations between Liverpool and the duo Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk about renewing their contracts with the Reds.

Previously, whether the Egyptian or the Dutchman, there were clear hints that leaving Arne Slot’s squad was closer than continuing, but the tone changed in the last media appearance of both.

Starting with Van Dijk, who said in his recent statements, “I cannot talk about negotiations with my brother’s clubs, but I confirm that I am strongly committed to Liverpool.”

He also added, “I am in a very good place physically and mentally, all I want now is to achieve success with Liverpool, and I want to be the best captain and player for this club.”

He concluded, “When I find something new, I will answer the question about my future, but as I have always said, I am very calm about it.”

As for Salah, he answered a question about whether the Manchester City match was his last against Pep Guardiola’s squad in a Liverpool shirt in a different way than usual.

“I don’t know, my focus now is just on winning the Premier League, it doesn’t matter if it’s the last game or not, we’ll see,” the Egyptian king said.
