Juventus decides to dismiss Motta.. and the former Barcelona coach succeeds him

Italian media reported that the Juventus administration intends to sever ties with coach Thiago Motta at the end of the current season.

Motta took over the Bianconeri last summer, succeeding Massimiliano Allegri after a historic season with Bologna, during which he led them to reach the Champions League.

Motta did not succeed in providing any addition with Juve, as they bid farewell to the Champions League in the round of 16 play-offs, and were eliminated from the Italian Cup against Empoli while finishing fifth in the Italian League.

According to the latest reports, the Juventus administration, even if it publicly expressed its support for Motta, does not intend to continue with him beyond the end of the current season.

The Old Lady’s administration has identified Xavi Hernandez as its first choice to succeed Motta in coaching Juventus next season.

Xavi is currently on vacation, but he welcomes returning and working again with a club that has a clear project next season, and there is interest in him from many clubs.

Relevo network indicated that an English club had already submitted an offer to Xavi, which confirms that Juve’s mission to obtain the former Barcelona coach will not be easy.
