After meeting with Laporta.. Mendes announces the fate of Yamal and Fati

The famous player agent, Jorge Mendes, announced the fate of the duo Lamine Yamal and Ansu Fati with Barcelona after a meeting he held with the Catalan president, Joan Laporta.

The duo met in an Asian restaurant in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, hours before the Barcelona and Benfica match in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

According to the newspaper “Sport”, the meeting between Mendes and Laporta lasted for 4 hours, during which they discussed the future of Fati and Yamal on the one hand, and talked about other possible deals next summer.

Mendes then appeared to the media and announced in clear words that Yamal is about to renew his contract with Barça to remain at Camp Nou until at least 2030.

When asked about Fati, he evaded the answer and simply said, “He has shown that he has great potential whenever he participates, so all he needs is some opportunities in Barcelona’s upcoming matches.”

Mendes’ statements coincide with news that he is working to find a way out for himself in the Gulf States next summer, and that he is aware that there is no hope of him continuing next season with Hansi Flick’s squad.
