After Arsenal’s stumble.. How many points does Liverpool need to win the Premier League?

Arsenal stumbled with a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, in the twenty-eighth round of the Premier League.

The Gunners’ draw came after Liverpool’s big win over Southampton on Saturday 3-1, putting the Reds on the verge of winning the title in every sense of the word.

Mathematically, Liverpool needs to achieve only 16 points from their last 9 matches to officially be crowned with their second Premier League title in the last 30 years.

The maximum that Arsenal can reach is 85 points, meaning that Liverpool winning 5 matches and drawing another will crown Arne Slot’s squad with the title.

This could happen before the two teams meet on May 10, and thus Mikel Arteta’s squad will have to stand in an honorary guard for the Premier League champions.

Liverpool’s next 6 league games will be against Everton, Fulham, West Ham, Leicester City, Tottenham and Chelsea, before facing the Gunners.

In theory, the games do not seem difficult for Liverpool to win all of them, or 5 of them and draw the other and secure the title, but you cannot predict what will happen in the Premier League.
