Yamal shines.. an assist then a wonderful goal in Benfica

Lamine Yamal never stops shining, and this time his victim was Benfica, after he scored a goal and made another in the first half of the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

The tenth minute witnessed a very special skill from Yamal, when he dribbled past two Benfica players and then passed the ball beautifully to Rafinha, who put the ball into the Portuguese club’s net and advanced Barça.

Benfica quickly equalized with a header from Nicolas Otamendi, but Yamal’s response came quickly after that.

Yamal received the ball on the right flank and then the danger zone with his skill and speed, then fired a shot that can only be described as wonderful, giving Barcelona the second goal.

Yamal, 17 years old, raised his total goal contributions to 29 goals this season in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and making 17 others.

Yamal became the youngest player in Champions League history to score and assist in a single match.

Yamal’s goal was his third in the Champions League this season, and his third assist, making him a contributor to 6 goals for Hansi Flick’s team with the ears.
