Henry belittles Salah: Raphinha deserves the Ballon d’Or

French football legend Thierry Henry belittled Mohamed Salah when he said that a large portion of his goals come from penalties, unlike Raphinha, who he believes deserves the Ballon d’Or.

Henry said, “Salah is a strong candidate for the Ballon d’Or, as is Harry Kane, and I think Ousmane Dembélé too, but for me, Raphinha is at the top. He’s scored 11 goals in the Champions League.”

He added, “Rafinha is in his best form right now. He’s scored many goals and only one from a penalty this season. I’m not saying that Salah or Kane aren’t having an exceptional season.”

The Arsenal legend continued, “I’m not saying that Kane and Salah only score penalties, but I’m saying that if a player scores the same number of goals without penalties, that’s fantastic.”

He concluded, “I’m not saying what they did was bad, but we need to talk a little more about Raphinha and what he does in attack, as well as in defense, pressing, and assisting the full-backs. There are a lot of things to do, and Raphinha does them all.”

It’s worth noting that Salah has contributed to 54 goals in all competitions this season, scoring 32 and assisting 22, compared to Raphinha’s 46 goals, scoring 27 and assisting 19.
