Tuchel begins his England tenure with huge surprises in his first squad!

England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced his Three Lions squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers during the upcoming international break, which begins on Monday.

Tuchel has been in charge of England since 2024, and his first test will be against Albania and Latvia this March.

Tuchel left out several surprise names, such as Noni Madueke, Ollie Watkins, Morgan Gibbs, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Ivan Toney, despite these players’ impressive performances for their respective clubs.

Meanwhile, Tuchel brought Marcus Rashford back into the England squad after his absence for the past year, a technical decision by former manager Gareth Southgate.

The squad includes veterans such as Harry Kane, Kyle Walker, and Jordan Henderson, while Winger Alexander-Arnold was excluded due to an injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.

Tuchel’s initial England squad is as follows:

Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle), Levi Colwill (Chelsea), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Miles Luiskelly (Arsenal), Tino Livramento (Newcastle), Jarrell Quansah (Liverpool), and Kyle Walker (AC Milan, on loan from Manchester City)
