Because of Arnold… Salah is close to staying with Liverpool!

The Mirror reported that Mohamed Salah is close to staying with Liverpool, as is Virgil van Dijk, due to the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid.

International media outlets confirmed that Arnold had reached an agreement with Real Madrid officials to move to Los Blancos for free at the end of this season, and he will most likely participate in the 2025 Club World Cup.

According to the latest report, Liverpool is currently putting all its efforts into convincing Van Dijk and Salah to renew their contracts, as officials are convinced that the club cannot afford to lose the trio at once next summer.

So far, Van Dijk is the most likely to remain with Liverpool, as negotiations with him are more serious and in a relatively advanced stage compared to those with Mohamed Salah.

However, negotiations with the Egyptian star will also intensify to ensure his continued stay, although the salary crisis remains after the two parties reached a near-agreement on the length of the new contract (two years).

Overall, Liverpool manager Arne Slot wants at least three to five summer signings, with his primary target being Jeremie Frimpong to replace Arnold on the right flank. He’s awaiting the decisions of Salah and Van Dijk to finalize the remaining signings.
