De Bruyne may join Messi at Inter Miami, but there’s only one problem!

The Mirror reported that Kevin De Bruyne has received an offer from Inter Miami to join them on a free transfer next summer.

The Belgian international announced the end of his career with Manchester City when his contract expired after the 2025 Club World Cup and was immediately linked with several clubs inside and outside Europe.

One of the clubs interested in signing the 33-year-old is Inter Miami, which is eager to bring in more stars to help Lionel Messi win all possible titles.

For his part, the player is very open to a move to Miami and a new experience in the United States, but a legal crisis is currently preventing this deal from being completed.

The MLS allows clubs to sign three players with salaries exceeding the maximum permitted by the salary cap, under the name “rated player,” and Inter Miami currently has all three.

We’re talking about Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, and it’s highly unlikely any of them will be sacrificed for De Bruyne, given the pair’s strong relationship with Messi, their technical success, and Javier Mascherano’s need for them.

If Inter Miami can’t find a legal loophole or convince De Bruyne to accept a lower salary, the deal will falter, and the Belgian international’s most likely destination will be a move to a Saudi league club.

It’s worth noting that Al-Qadisiyah has been interested in De Bruyne since last year, and it’s also been reported that Al-Nassr intends to sign the legendary playmaker to join Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané in the attack.
