Modric Buys a Famous English Club!

It has been revealed that Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has become one of the owners of Swansea City.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Modric has acquired a minority stake in the Welsh club, although Swansea’s ownership changed hands last November.

The Croatian star will now join the board, although it is unclear how much of his investment or the stake he has acquired.

Swansea is 12th in the English Championship, eight points off the playoff places with four games remaining. A return to the Premier League remains possible, though unlikely.

The team is currently without a manager, with Alan Sheehan serving as caretaker manager after Luke Williams was dismissed in March.

Modric’s investment in Swansea will not affect his playing career, as he still aspires to renew for another year with Real Madrid, participate in the 2026 World Cup, and then retire.

Real Madrid’s management has yet to make a decision on renewing Modric’s contract, although initial indications suggest he will leave the club at the end of the season.
