A new chapter in the crisis between Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Zamalek unfolds, this time after he filed a report against the White Castle, demanding protection from angry fans.
Zamalek announced in an official statement that Zizo would leave the club at the end of his contract this season after failing to reach an agreement on renewal terms.
Egyptian media outlets confirmed that Zizo had already signed a contract to join Al Ahly on a free transfer, angering Zamalek fans.
A Zamalek worker then tore down a picture of Zizo and stood on it in anger. The club’s management then announced that he had been referred for investigation.
According to the latest reports, Zizo filed a report against Zamalek, expressing his fear of being assaulted by angry fans following the incident involving the worker.
In the report, Zizo stated that he feared going to Zamalek’s headquarters for training and felt unsafe, demanding that his safety and human rights be guaranteed.
This move by the player comes as a precaution against Zamalek’s expected complaint to the Football Association due to his absence from training, which is expected to continue until the end of the season.
At the same time, this could be a prelude to a request to terminate his contract and obtain his full dues through FIFA.
