The Beginning of the Revolution: Manchester United Concludes a Major Deal

The Daily Mail reported that Manchester United are very close to concluding a major deal to be their first signing of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The subject of the news is Wolverhampton star Matheus Cunha, who has been specifically requested by manager Ruben Amorim and is seen as the ideal reinforcement for the obvious attacking crisis at Old Trafford.

The Brazilian player had previously announced his intention to leave Wolves next season to take the next step in his career by joining a major club that competes on all levels.

According to the latest report, United are currently the favorite to sign Cunha, especially since the player believes Amorim’s style and ideas suit him better than any other club.

Newcastle recently entered the deal and are trying to convince the player to join St. James’ Park so he can participate in the Champions League, but so far, the 25-year-old’s opinion leans toward United.

A deal for Cunha will be expensive, with Wolverhampton’s purchase price expected to reach up to £60 million.

This season, Cunha has made 31 appearances for Wolverhampton, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in the Premier League and FA Cup.

It’s also worth noting that Cunha was close to joining Arsenal last winter, but at the last minute, he opted to remain with Wolves until the end of the season.
