Marca reports that Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior faces a two-year ban from football for violating FIFA rules.
FIFA regulations prohibit football players from owning football clubs except in certain circumstances. However, Vinicius actually owns more than one club and is involved in several controversial cases in Brazil.
According to the report, Vinicius has a company managed by his agent, Zacilo Soares, which has purchased shares in several professional clubs in Brazil, most notably São João del Rei, which plays in the second division.
There is a legal dispute over how Vinicius’ company gained control of this club, and the São Paulo court intervened, blocking the takeover.
Meanwhile, Vinicius owns another Portuguese club, Alverca, to which Rafael Conceição recently moved on loan from the Brazilian club, a deal that has raised many questions.
If the charges of tampering with records and Vinicius’ subcontracting in these companies are proven, the 24-year-old player will face a two-year ban, a major blow for him and Real Madrid.
It’s worth noting that the Brazilian international is in the process of renewing his contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2030 after agreeing on all the details with the club, and he received a significant salary increase.
