Toni Kroos, the Real Madrid player, set a period of one to two months to announce his position on renewing his contract with the Royal Club or retiring from football.
Kroos’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires at the end of the season, and as he reached 33 years of age, the player was inclined to retire at the top of his level, as he had always dreamed of.
But Kroos’s brilliance in the last year, his reversal of his international retirement decision, and his return to Germany to play in Euro 2024, opens the door to his continuation in the world of football.
When the player was asked in an interview with Spanish television about his future, he replied, “Until now I have not made my final decision yet.”
He also added, “It is a decision that I must make within a month or two from now at the latest.”
At the same time, Kroos mocked a question asked to him about the possibility of contracting with Mbappe, saying, “If he himself does not know his future, how will I know?”
He concluded, “It is his own decision, and we certainly want the best players with us at Real Madrid, and he is one of them.”
