Real Madrid issued an official statement announcing that Dani Ceballos had an injury to his right ankle after participating in the Real Betis match on Sunday.
According to the statement of the royal club, the Spanish international suffered a third-degree sprain affecting the ligaments of his right ankle.
The statement did not mention the duration of Ceballos’ absence from the stadiums, while the newspaper “Marca” confirmed that the player will not return to coach Carlo Ancelotti’s list for two months.
A few hours after this news, Real Madrid received another blow, as Ferland Mendy was excluded from the French national team list during the international break due to injury.
Unlike Ceballos, Mendy’s injury does not appear to be severe or serious, and according to “Cadena Cope” it is just an extra physical load.
For this reason, the player and the French national team preferred to rest him instead of aggravating it, which could cause him to be absent from the stadiums for a long time.
The report indicates that Mendy will not miss any Real Madrid match, and will be ready to participate at the end of the international break and play the Real Sociedad match on September 14.
