Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that there are negotiations between the Bayern Munich and Chelsea administrations to conclude a big swap deal during the current winter Mercato.
The Bavarian club is looking to support its attacking line with a world-class player who has experience in the Bundesliga, and for this reason it has begun negotiations with Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku.
At the same time, the Chelsea administration sees contracting with Bayern star, Matthias Tel, as an ideal option for it.
From this point, negotiations have begun between the two clubs to conduct this swap deal, especially since Nkunku has expressed a clear desire to move to the Bavarian giant.
The Sky network reported that Bayern Munich already has an agreement with Nkunku on personal terms, and the agreement with his club on the value of the deal remains.
Due to the mutual desire between Nkunku and Bayern, the idea of including Tel in the deal and making it a swap deal with some additional money to make it easier in negotiations came up, but even if the idea ultimately fails, the former Leipzig player will remain the German club’s first target this winter.
It remains to be noted that Nkunku is not satisfied with his role at Chelsea, so it was previously said that he will leave at the latest next summer, while Tel wants to continue with Bayern but is not guaranteed to participate, which makes him open to the idea of moving and trying a new experience.
