A blow to Barcelona: Olmo out for a relatively long time due to injury

Barcelona suffered a major blow after the nature of Dani Olmo’s injury and the expected length of his absence were revealed.

The Spanish international started against Osasuna on Thursday before being substituted in the 27th minute with an adductor injury.

According to Sport, Olmo will be out for at least two weeks as he recovers from this muscle injury.

Olmo is certain to miss the La Liga matches against Girona and Real Betis, and the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atlético Madrid.

The 26-year-old will also miss the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Borussia Dortmund at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys.

In principle, the Catalan club’s current goal is to have Olmo back in time for the second leg, scheduled for April 15 at Signal Iduna Park.

It is worth noting that Olmo has participated in 28 matches for the Catalan club this season, during which he scored 8 goals and made 5 assists.
